About SGAT Bulletin

Aims and Objectives

The launch of SGAT Bulletin, the journal of the Society of Geoscientists and Allied Technologists (SGAT), in 1998 opened a new era in the publication of research papers of geosciences and allied technologies. The journal is published biannually (June and December) by the Society and is dedicated to high-quality research papers spanning over all areas of geoscience, mining engineering, mineral processing, metallurgy and environmental science related to mining and metal industries, with a focus on interdisciplinary approaches and the integration of various scientific fields to understand Earth’s systems and processes.

Financial Resources

The printing and publishing cost of the bulletin is usually met from SGAT’s own funds. At times, advertisements from other organisations/ corporate houses, at the rate of ₹ 50,000.00 per full page, are received. The bulletin is complimentary for its members and authors among whom it is circulated free of cost. No amount is received from the authors against their articles and the copy of the bulletin.

Ethics of Publication

The SGAT Bulletin is committed to maintaining the highest level of integrity in the content published. It requires all the authors to comply with international, national and/or institutional standards of data capture and research reporting. This is important for studies involving geological, mining, mineral processing, metallurgical and environmental issues and its impact on flora and fauna.

Informed Consent prior to reference to a data included in publication is a responsibility of the author. The journal is committed to investigating any allegations of misconduct, to maintain the integrity of research.

Research content published in this journal is peer (single) reviewed maintaining anonymity of the author and reviewer.

This journal has a Competing Interest Policy in place.

Conflict of interest statement

Authors must acknowledge the organizations that have provided financial support for their work. Any other conflict of interest must be declared while submitting the manuscripts.
